TURKEY DRIVE 2019

When its comes to giving, a church do give. Giving comes with a blessing. Its essential and important to have the spirit and heart of giving. I feel it makes you grow spiritually. Its a good moral behavior too. When you give, it shall be given back to you more than you imagine. WHAT IS TURKEY DRIVE?? RCCG MERCY SEAT CHAPEL, MARYLAND USA came up with this beautiful idea to give back to the community. As you all know, thanksgiving holds every year in the month of November. Before the day, mercy seat chapel organizes an event called TURKEY DRIVE. Turkey drive is when the church gives out turkey to the community around. Flies are being made towards the event. It will be shared to everyone, everywhere. Turkey drive includes everyone, it doesn’t matter your race, color, nationality, disability,no discrimination at all, Turkey Drive invites everyone to come and take turkey for thanksgiving. This year, we had two Tuesdays to give out free turkey to the community. DAY1:- It was a successful day. 150 turkeys were shared to Montgomery county, Maryland. It was a time of worship and praise. Our dear PaStor Ola Olarinde preached. He preached on LOVE OF CHRIST. Its signifies how God loves us and we should extend the same love to other people. I am sure that the word blessed everyone. This is the season to show love. After the preaching, ALTER CALL was made. People came out to give their lives to Christ. Ministers of GOD laid their hands on them and prayed for them. THEN, it was time to share the turkeys to the people. Everyone got a ticket to be identified for who to be given turkey to. The ushers will lead them to the basement where the turkey is being served. The service was an awesome service in God’s presence. DAY 2: IT was just as the same as the first day. It was overflowing. Lots of people came, no chair for people to sit down. It was just to the point. We had some Spanish people who came for the program,so our beautiful sister Natalie interpreted the English to Spanish for them to understand. after the whole service, the choir went into some great singing of refreshment. Our sweet IFE tried to drum and she did pretty good. We want to thank everyone contributed in giving. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible at all. This show that love abides around us and we are spreading it to the world as GOD has taught us to do so. Also a big thank you to our pastor and pastor OLU OLARINDE, You are the best and GOD bless you both forever. We love you always.
