1. Its so good to have you IFE on celebrity’s world, can you please introduce your beautiful self to us, let’s know who you are?
Thank you. I go by Ifeeh Sado. The ‘s’ has an ‘sh’ sound. My real name is Ife Smith.
2. You are into music, tell us how it all started, what will you say is your biggest motivation?
Wow! It started a very long time ago for me. As a child I sang every day, every where and any chance I was given. It drove my family crazy. I was in the choir in my church growing up and I would sometimes write but i never did anything about it. I didn’t even know how. Fast forward to 2016. I joined MSC and then I started singing backup for Adaora and she told me to wake that writer back up. Lol so I started to write again. My biggest motivation has been my child. I have also been blessed to have people around me that support me which is highly needed when going into this industry. I thank God for them.
3. I know you personally and I admire you especially when it comes to your spiritual life, you attend RCCG, Mercy Seat Chapel, USA, can you tell people out there a reason why they should be Christian, you are into gospel music, what will tell people about the love of God in your life and why everyone needs to experience it?
ANS: Why you should be a Christian?I think it is more why you should be a child of God. I’ll say why not? There is so much peace being His child. God has given us the power to conquer and His love for us is unending. He has brought me through some very dark places even when I thought I didn’t deserve it. When I have up on me He didn’t. There’s nothing better out there is you ask me.
4. So, a little bird told us that you have a single, your very first single that is about to come out very soon, can you share more light about it
ANS: Yes! My very first. It is titled Overcome and
it was inspired by a true story in my life and daughter. It talks about overcoming fear and depression because we have the power of Christ in us.We all deal with different situations in life and we somehow manage to get through it. Well, that “somehow” is God. I always had the song in the back of my mind and when I started to write again, it was the fifth song I wrote but the first one to be produced. I get very emotional every time I sing it because it reminds me of what God has done and is still doing. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.
5. You have a daughter, can you tell us more about her and you being a single mum.
ANS: My baby, Jadé. She is my light. I’ve been divorced for…10 years and it has been a joy raising her. She compliments me in so many ways. She teaches me a lot about myself and I am super proud of her journey. We are best friends and sisters and a lot of people around us say that about our relationship. Being her mother is the best gift ever.
6. Apart from music, what other talent do you have?
ANS: My family is gifted with performing artists. I love the arts and I am also very crafty. I like to build.
7. Who is your celebrity crush?
ANS: Celebrity Crush? Hahaha. Girl, Let me not expose myself.
8. What do you do in your spare time?
ANS: My days are, or should I say were, pretty busy with my full time job and working on my music and the ministry (voice training, rehearsals, etc.) so spare time is rare but…I listen to music. It inspires me. I also write. I’m a movie junkie. My daughter and I also enjoy taking drives out, you know, mother/daughter thing. Right now, being at home with this pandemic I have learned to appreciate my “me time”.
9. We all saw a video of you and some amazing ladies doing the BOP daddy challenge, who suggested the idea?
ANS: Oh my gosh! That was so fun to do. That was by a lovely sis Adeola Obajemu. She reached out and asked if I would love to and I said yes. I’m glad I joined in.
10. In the future, who would like to collaborate with in music?
ANS: The list is long. I appreciate the ministry and the art as well. A few ministers that I truly admire are Dunsin Oyekan, Peter Tobe (my producer for OVERCOME), Lauren Daigle, Adaora (a great mentor and dear friend), Onos Ariyo, JJ Hairston, Jumbo Ane, Mercy Chinwo. Oh…and Jessica Reedy. I’d love to sing alongside with them.
11. Can you describe this covid-19, how do you feel?
ANS: Rough! It is a horrid thing terrorizing the entire nation. It has affected everyone is every way. Financially, emotionally, mentally…you name it but with God…we will/have OVERCOME.
12. Any words for your fans because you are going places and paparazzi and a lots of people will call you for pictures, autograph and more, so you need to say something
ANS: Fans!!! Amen oooo. Lol. By God’s grace. I want to say a big thank you to everyone for their support so far. I have received a lot of love and it has been pleasantly overwhelming. Stay tuned for this single, Overcome. I promise it will minister to you. God bless.
