STUDENT TALK- AUDREY ANYAKWO

HI everyone, hope you all  are doing great, this is another interview with a student here on STUDENT TALK. I have Audrey Anyakwo, a student of the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA, ATLANTA, USA. Today, she will be telling us her thoughts about how the Covid 19 situation has affected her. So guys, let’s talk with AUDREY,

1. So, Audrey, everybody wants to  know you, can you please tell us about yourself?

ANS: Hello, my name is Audrey and I am a Nigeria American. I love to play basketball and I’m very outspoken.

2. What is the name of your school and course and the level you are currently in school?

ANS: I go to the university of GEORGIA and I am a rising third year student with a major in Nutritional science with a premed intent.

3. How did you feel when you were told that there is going to be a lockdown due to Covid-19 and that schools are closed?

ANS: I felt sad. I didn’t like the thought of being at home for 5 months because I would not be able to go out and I don’t like staying home doing the same routine.

4. You have been home for a very long time now, no outing, no school and all, what will you say has changed about you or do you feel that you are the same person?

ANS: I will definitely say I am more appreciative of the things that I have taken for granted: my home, food, water, electricity, TV and other amenities that are essential to my well-being. I have also been thankful and more appreciative of my family and how hard they work for all of us. Also, I am thankful to be a lot more in tune with God and reading the Bible more. I’ve also been reading a lot of more books in regards to finance and self development.

5. As a student expressing this lock down, what will you like to tell the government to do?

ANS: I would tell the government to put in more money towards testing millions per day and having stricter policies on tracing and social isolation/distancing.

6. Are there any setbacks you may face if school is to be opened now?

ANS: There will be no setbacks if schools were to open now.

7. As a young lady of your age, will you say covid-19 is real because most youths don’t believe that they can be affected?

ANS: It is definitely real and yes, we have a better immune system, those who are of my age should be more cautious of their surroundings so as not to catch it.

8. Most students who are at home during the lock down period have the lack  of doing school work, this covid-19 has affected them deeply and they may not be able to focus on school, what will be your advise to them?

ANS: I would encourage them to keep moving forward and to be hardworking. Most of the classes are easier online because teachers understand that it is a hard time for everyone.

9. How will you feel if school is to be opened today and what will be the first exciting thing you will love to do?

ANS: I would be excited that  school would be open today. The first thing I would do is to hang out with my friends.

10. Finally, what do we expect from you in the next years to come?

ANS: You should expect that I become more educated.

I must say that interview with Audrey has been ver interesting and I say a big thank  you. If you guys must know, Audrey is cousin and a sweetheart.

I am signing out today on STUDENT’S TALK. I hope you join me again next week to talk with another student. Please keep safe, be careful ,protect one another and remember God is with us. Have a beautiful day, bye.
