Can you please introduce yourself
ANS: My name is Ezejimadu kingsley Chinedu
2. What made you go into gospel music?
ANS: It was a calling. A calling in the sense that I have tried to go into circular music but did not get my bearing until a voice told me that why can’t I just sacrifice my voice and sing unto the lord. Though it took a longtime before I discovered myself and the journey began.
3. When you sing your songs, what are the expectations you want people to get when listening to it?
ANS: The expectations I want people to get from my songs is to listen to the word cos I believe by that means am passing a message to people and it might touch their lives in positive ways by rebuilding their spirit, restructuring their lives and rejuvenating the whole body ,mind and soul.
4. You are married with a kid and you are successful, how do you avoid advances from the opposite sex?
ANS: It is really not easy but what gets into my head is that I have a family and by the grace of God, I wouldn’t want to jeopardize or trade my family with what is not in line with God. God loves family and he gave me a family and wouldn’t want to ruin the family God gave me so I try as much as possible to be careful of the advances from the opposite sex. The bottom line is when you cherish your family, you will protect your family and avoid any advances from the opposite sex.
5. So some people say it is hard to be a child of God, what do you have to say about it?
ANS: Yes it is really hard to be a child of God, truth be told but it is not like as if one can’t be a child of God. It has to do with how committed you are as a true Christian and not just being a Christian. The foundation makes you what you are in the aspect of how your parents moulded you. Did they actually teach you about being a child of God, what to do and what not to do in order to please God. if these teachings were taught by our parents religiously while growing up and other teachings the church we belong to through an anointed man of God and you keep the commandment diligently then someone can be bold enough to say he or she is a child of God.
6. Covid 19 has affected everyone of us in the whole world, I want to know your take on it and what do you think can be done to bring it to an end?
ANS:You have to be hygienically okay during this COVID 19 pandemic by avoiding M.E.N
M- avoid putting your hands in your Mouth
E- avoid touching your Ears
N- avoid touching your Nose
Always use your face mask in a crowdy environment, wash your hand and use Hand sanitizer regularly. This is the only way i hope this COVID 19 can be controlled.
7. Sometimes last year, you sang on the same stage with CHIOMA JESUS, how was it like for you?
ANS: That was my first ever outing January 2020 being in the midst of top gospel musician that matters. I feel highly elated and it motivated me more that there is joy in the presence of the Lord. it was a push for me cos they all started somewhere before they get to this height.
8. How do you write your songs and what inspires you, I believe it is not easy at all?
ANS: My songs are inspirational and I derive them most times from my dreams. I wake up with songs in my mouth between 2am to 3am most times. I mentioned about discovering myself because it didn’t start this year, this is something that has been happening over the years. I wake up with bible quotations at times and is always a message from God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit. My songs comes in that way until I step up and notice that God is taking me somewhere, directing me on how to utilize my dream. This is how I write my songs and through the inspiration of the holy spirit.
9. What are some of the challenges you face as a gospel artist?
ANS: The challenges I faced is sometimes wen am eager to sing for the Lord and going to studio to produce these songs, I feel like I am losing my voice but wen i pray to God and invite d holy spirit to be in control ,I get this relief immediately and one of my major challenges was last year ,June 12 I had a ghastly motor accident on my way to the studio for production but it didn’t stop me from producing that day, it was after the production that I had to visit the hospital to take care of myself medically and I thank God for sparing my life. He who works with the Lord should have no fear for the Lord is always with you. “Emmanuel” God with us.
10. As a christian, what will be your advise to people out there who has not yet given their life to Christ?
ANS: It is better to receive Christ because he is the way, the truth and the life. Anyone who sticks with him will definitely have an everlasting and peaceful life. Accept him and you will be saved.
11. We, Christians go through challenges and it seems like God is not answering our prayers, what will be your advise to us in such situation?
ANS: As Christians it is just to go through challenges cos that’s what strengthens our communication with God. you have no other option than to rely on him continuously persistently and do the right thing to attract God’s presence ,favor and grace cos one with him is majority and one without him is minority. you have to keep seeking, asking and knocking until your prayers will be answered. God always answers our prayers but we need to be patient cos when u think u need it might not be when he wants to do it. He is a mysterious God that owes no one explanation on when to answer your prayers but one thing for sure is that, he will definitely answer your prayers. when you come to him with a contrite heart and ask for mercy then congratulations for your prayers has reached the throne of heaven. with that you can be assured your prayers will be answered.
