STUDENT’S TALK- NATHANIEL OMOTAYO

Hi everyone from all over the world, you are welcome to another segment of STUDENT’S TALK. This week, I have a student from the university of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. He is going to be talking to us about how the whole covid-19 situation has affected him and school too. Lets go and talk with NATHANIEL OMOTAYO.

1. Hi Nathaniel, please introduce yourself to everyone

ANS: My name is Nathaniel Omotayo, a student of political science in the university of Lagos. I’m a Model, an entrepreneur,a brand influencer and also a model scout in practice . I’m signed under the management of @goldencitymodelsng and I have also featured in several runway shows and also been fortunate to model for so many designers. So in a nutshell, I would say I’m a simple guy but a great lover for fashion.

2. What was your reactions when government had to close down schools because of covid-19? It was a splendid new because it gave  me time to take a little break on school stress and be able to calm down and read for my exams and also to take good care of my self both mentally ,physically ,emotionally and spiritually

3. Staying home for this long, what will you say has changed for you?

ANS: The way I reason about life because this period of time as thought me a lot and strengthen me  in  several ways I can’t just start mentioning

4.. You are doing online schooling at home, do you prefer it or prefer going to school?

ANS: lmao I attend a federal university in Nigeria online schooling can’t work  here for federal university

5. A lot of your mates are really lacking behind due to covid-19, what will be your advise to them?To be sincere I wouldn’t see my mates lacking behind or my self lacking because there’s one thing federal universities teaches  every individual is to be prepared for impromtu and always be expected for the worse in a sense of telling us life is not a  bed of roses

6. Will you say that covid-19 is actually in existence?

ANS: Yes, I would say its real because I have lost enough friends during this period of time, people I wasn’t expecting to say goodbye  too

7. It is not easy to be home for this long, if  schools were to open today, will there be any setbacks for you?

ANS: To be sincere in term of academic no there wouldn’t be  but fashion and lifestyle there would be because  I’m not prepared  thanks to the pandemic

So let just say I would be doing lots of repeating of clothes and isolating my self from others so I wouldn’t catch the virus

8. What  do you miss the most out there and if giving a chance to go out, what will that be?

ANS:  To be sincere i miss those I hangout with and my par-time huzzling career that’s modeling also my online jewelry business which is on pause thanks to the pandemic  most especially the beach and restaurants

9. What will you as a student advise the government to do concerning this covid-19 situation?

ANS: For someone who stays in Nigeria  although I would start by saying first off all allocation should be giving to us students like it’s done in most countries  because most students fend for there self here and to be sincere it’s not easy and exams and  online classes should be treated with mandatory.

Thank you so much, Nathaniel for sharing your views with about the covid-19 suitation, we all sincerely hope that it will come to an end for all students to go back to school very soon.

There you have it everyone. We hope that schools can resume soon. Lets continue to pray and hope for the best. I am Nancy Anyakwo, signing out this week on STUDENT’S TALK. See you next week, bye……
