What’s up guys, how are you all doing?
So, I have a question to ask: Are you doing the right thing?
You may say “what kind of question is that?” Well, we all are free to do whatever we want; go wherever we want; eat whatever we crave; wear whatever we choose; and so many other choices. We are free to live any lifestyle we choose with nothing to stop us. However, sometimes we may get confused on which part to live.
We may be free to live however we want and do whatever we like, but are we doing the right things? My point is that: in everything we do, we need directions. We need to go through the right processes to make decisions; and not led to make wrong decisions. We need to be directed to secure the positions we need to take on issues of life.
The only person that can help us to make the best decision is God. Putting Him first in everything we do can make our lives better. Some parents decide what their kids should study in the university; they force their kids perhaps because of fame, how others might see them. They do not want to be looked down on. But these kids may have been destined by God to for something else which is also productive in the society. That’s why all parents should put God first when it comes to their kids. As young adults, we all have desires, we all have our own that we feel is best for us but is God involved? God has already decided what we shall be. We did not come to this world by mistake; it is for a good reason. We all need to open our mind and hearts to see and know what that is. There are decisions we have made but it turned out to be wrong and we still do not learn from it. Some people do; they do learn from their mistakes and try to make it right. The ones who refuse to learn and continue the wrong path end up destroying their destiny.
Freedom is power to man. As kids, we look forward to the day when we will be free to leave our parents’ house and go our way. Then we meet the high and the lowly; the rich and poor; the good, bad and ugly;and people who will lead us to the right path or the wrong way. That freedom we all seek can make us or break us. We want a life of freedom to explore; to see the entire world and be happy, fly freely like the birds in the sky, go out and return at whatever time we choose, pick whoever we want as our friends, go wherever we want. Freedom. When that freedom comes, some of us make it back home and some do not. Why do they not make it back home? They chose a wrong path, took a wrong turn. They refused to listen to words and warning from others who truly love them. We all have made mistakes and we regret them, but to God be the glory, we are alive, and we can make changes now. Freedom is tempting, very tempting; but what do we do when we have such freedom right in our hands? Are going to choose right or wrong? Are we going to make a good example to the people who look up to us or we are going to show them the wrong path? People have wasted their lives because of freedom. They lose their lives, go into prostitution, robbery, do rituals, commit murder, perform abortions, etc. Girls die, and their dignity is destroyed; their bright, shiny future comes to a total end and so much more.
Will you allow freedom make you or break you? Some parents allow their kids to do whatever they want to do with no advice, no caution, no warning; and when they die or go to prison or have an incurable disease, they begin to weep and regret their actions. Youths from a tender age have been abused and neglected that they have no choice but to run to the arms of evil company. In some cases, life really can be unfair. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon, I get that. No one is prefect, it is hard. We all need to survive but can we just try to make good choices? Can we please do?
So, on this note, are you doing the right thing with the freedom you have?
Thank you.
