Let me find my way,
All by myself.
I am old enough,
I can do it myself and I don’t want you to babysit me anymore.
I am a fully grown.
You, (my parents) can’t continue to hold me down.
Let me live my life the way I want to.
Stop holding me down.
I am no longer that little baby girl/boy you know. I am bigger now. I can protect myself. I want to be free to do what I love to do. I want to go out anytime and come back anytime. I want to move to my own house, have my own car. wear what I decide to way. You keep controlling me, especially my movements. I want to decide the course I want to read. I have to make my own mistake and I am fed up with the guards you have around me. I want to be free, is it too much to ask?
The kids has spoken…….
At some point in our life, we will feel that urge to live that life, that freedom you have always desired to have. We don’t want our parents to there with us every time. You want to step up and choose who you want to date, what you want to wear, go out and be free. Do all you desire to do. You just want to live that life on your own accord. Life, it is so surprising how parents see their kids grow and grow and get so matured and begin to wonder how time has passed. When were they born and now they can make their own decisions, wow, it’s amazing and surprising, right? Some parents allow their kids do whatever they want and some parents won’t allow such to happen. It’s really depends. Whichever way it is, parents must have taught the kids the right way. The basic principles must have been given to them. How to accept and decline things, how to love and not to hate, how to respect someone, how to show care, give, dress well and behave inside the house and outside the house, how to accept the religion they practice in the home, to be good and not bad, it should be given to the kids.
In my opinion, I prefer parents to allow the kids to make their mistakes. The parents has done their part, so let the kids choose for themselves. The kids will still do what they want to do no matter how much you guide and keep them under your wings. If they go wayward or be well behaved, it is their life. They know their right to the left.
Let them find their way and learn the hard way. The kids can’t be babies forever, they have to make their decisions. That is life. You, (the parents) will feel sad but it has to happen. Just pray for them to make the right decision and make you (parents) proud.
LET ME FIND MY WAY. Thank you………………
