They say a woman’s place is in the kitchen. Do you believe it is true?
The most believe of people in general is that a woman will end up in the kitchen. She is qualified to just get married and start giving birth to children for her husband. What an understanding some people have about girls. Most fathers don’t believe in training their girl child because of the knowledge they have. As soon as the girl is done with a certain level of education, the girl is married of to a man, just like that. In this suitation, the girl or mum don’t have any say to do with the decision. If the mother gets to stand against such decision, the father gets angry and would do something painful to the woman.
A girl child is bound to suffer, all in the name of marriage at an early stage. Then you hear things like the parents can’t take of the child, she can’t continue school, i have done my best in training her, let her husband take her and do the rest, a girl’s place is in the kitchen, she is no longer needed in my house, so many reasons given for the girl to be married off. The worst part is that the man is as old as ever. No one is ready to understand that the girl doesn’t need marriage at that early age. Must she be married off and the world before her is shut to her face? There are so questions to be answered concerning this situation. Looking at the face of the innocent girl married off is such a painful one. She is not ready to live with a man, she wants an education and to make a good living for her future. But we see that she is being forced by her family to do what they want.
A girl child can become a great person in the future. A girl that will change things for a country, she can defend a lot of people in the world. A girl is someone who will do wonderful things.
She is not only born to get married and start having kids, she is born to do so many things. Let everyone respect a girl child, also honor her. A girl child is not meant to be in the kitchen. SHE is worth more than that. For everyone out there who believes that SHE is destined to just stay home and be a wife and a mother, please do wake up. Do not allow her whole life ahead of her be a waste, SHE has the freedom to do whatever she wants to do. We shouldn’t control her destiny, we can only pray for her to become the best and put trust in what she desires. A girl child is so much more than we expect.
