So, some of us have brothers and while, others don’t have. Brothers are men who we first make friends with before going outside to meet other type of guys. Brotherly love may not have to be connected by blood, it could a friend that you grew up with together. A friend from work, from church, the area you live in, a brother is someone who you can call on to help you to instantly. There are so many girls out there who have more than two brothers and she is the only female child among them. They will fight for her in conditions whereby she is wrong or right. Our parents has sat our brothers down to discuss the reasons why they need to protect us, the sisters that they have. Brothers are people who God put in our lives as a shield of protection. When I need someone to talk to or pour out my feelings to, I have a brother who I know will give me a listening ear because we both have cultivated a good relationship for ourselves as siblings. My brother is a person that is in my life to change something about me, incase I am doing the wrong thing. I see my brother as a pillar standing in my time of defense.
Also, at the same time, some people have brothers who do not do anything for them. It’s just a figure head brother who is doing I have authority over you but will not stand up for you. We have brothers who have gone astray and have bad friends who misled them in doing the wrong things in life. Some bothers have cut off all tides with families for so many unthinkable reason, like that of marrying the wrong wife, like having more money and think that we are not of the same level, brothers who will leave the country and forget us back home, brothers who feel ok without the family members.
Hmmm, what kind of brother are you to your sisters? Are you a good brother or a bad brother? God made a man to rule but you as a man and brother will leave everything for your sisters or wives to do, all in the name of society influence. A man needs to be a good brother. If you don’t have your own sister, fine, but you can still fight for your friends at work, church, your cousins, a girl on the street and anywhere else you find such bad situation. A good brother is to care, love, cherish, tolerate, defend his sisters in public and at home. When your sisters are abused, what do you do? Do you fold your arms and watch the people continue or you man up and loose her up from the bad boys. A brother should be one I am so proud of when I go outside. I shouldn’t go outside and hear bad things about him and I feel ashamed of him, no, that shouldn’t be the condition. We have to be happy to call that guy, your brother.
Men, brothers, if you are not that worthy kind of brother, now is the time to change for good. Your mother and father needs a good son, your sister(s) need a good brother, your wife needs a good man and of course, your children now and in the future needs a good father to show them good example always. Go to God now and ask Him to change your heart to be that person you should be. As a man, you must be humble, smart, organized, responsible, have a good heart to love and care for your sisters. Only God can help you.
I pray for every man round the world that you will be that amazing brother that every family, especially sisters do need. May God help us all, Amen.
