OUR LITTLE ONES

The internet today is one of the man’s most popular inventions. It’s used daily by hundreds of people everyday worldwide. The internet has advantages which is of good. These involves the growth of businesses, help make a whole lot of money through YouTube, blogging and more, it helps us stay informed to what is going on in the world and many more. It depends on how you all see social media, it’s good and also bad on the other side. Everything has changed, communication has grown from the formal way of writing letters, to delivering it at the post office or giving it to someone going to your direction, it has moved to a level of just a phone call, not land line but cellphones, quick, easy, cheaper, no stress, no problem, internet connection good and solid, life is easier now. Look at the communication through all kinds of social media apps, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and even normal emails, very convenient and good. Life is now sweeter than ever, all you need is at your finger tips, one snap and all comes to live. Everyone is enjoying, even now there is lowest price of phone which an average man can buy and use for internet purposes. Kids now at a particular age can get the kind of phone they desire. There is even connection of phone to the cars we use now to communicate easily when driving. So many good things that comes with social media nowadays. But we all know that social media too can be a influence especially to the younger generation. These could be through game addiction, loss of focus, pornography, hacking, 419, and other bad engagements. Most parents can’t control what the kids do on their phones all the time, I believe that children shouldn’t have phone at an early stage, not just phone, iPad, easy access to the computer, of course, even if you don’t give your kids such stuffs, they have friends, sisters, brothers, aunties and uncle and other around them to give them the phone or iPad, that’s why we need to talk them and discipline them on why they can’t just have it on their own. They will have assignment which will make them want to use the internet, it’s fine, but why don’t we parents, be there to assist them, if you are not there, insisted of doing the assignment they have, they can easily turn to another unspeakable things which we think they are not aware of. We should teach them how to handle social media with the right way. These kids gets influenced every day one way of the other. At home, we teach them the right thing and train them to be the best, most parents have put in so much great effort to see that their kids have a good upbringing, but the truth is we don’t know what they do outside, it is not everything we know. Kids are now sharp that they can keep secret every well. The nanny we take them to, only God knows they kind of heart they have because most of them are bad influence to our kids, they can show them pictures or videos which are bad on their phones or iPads. They can teach them all kinds of bad things which you, the parents are not aware of. As parents, let know the kind of friends our kids have around them, are they good or bad, if possible know the friends’ family, know how good they are with their school work, are they truly the type of friends your kids should be hanging around with? Parents needs to be extra monitors when it concerns the kids’ life. The world is a global area now, the only constant thing is change. Things of the old is now new, no one is living with the old things expect you want to live with such lifestyle. Our kids are growing everyday and what you think they don’t know, trust me, they even know more than yourself. You will be thinking that your kids are good but hear what people say about them when you are outside your comfort zone. The internet is wide, so many stuffs keeps popping up everyday. Our kids learn faster than we can imagine, they are eager to grow. They want to experience the adulthood at an early stage which is not supposed to be. Even with their dressing, hair and the rest of it, I mean, when I was growing up and down to now that I am above 25, with the kind of mum I have, there are certain things you can’t think of doing, she will get you. Even the land line we had then, you dare not touch it anyhow, it’s hot cane that will land on your body, you will cry that cry of your life, talk more of now , my mum will still want to know what you are up to. Even if you think that you have grown to maturity age, I am so sorry because the mum I know and some other parents I know will still want to watch over everything little thing you do. Let’s try to bring it to a level of their stage. They shouldn’t pass their stage before it is actually their time. If the internet is not managed as its needs to for the sake of our kids, we don’t know what they will become. Although I don’t blame the internet for this but the people who upload these obscure things and uses it for dastardly acts, after all , like they say, Garbage In, Garbage Out…………. LETS ALWAYS PRAY FOR OUR LITTLE ONES AND EVEN FOR OURSELVES TOO, WE NEED GOD………
