It was a new song -dancing, rejoicing, and celebration everywhere. Sounds of excitement filled the air as people came from far and near. Distance didn’t matter; everyone wanted to be part of this great celebration.
Men and women from all nations arrived in colorful cultural attire. The women tied their headscarves high, eager to be noticed, while the men appeared in elegant outfits crafted by the finest designers. The cost wasn’t their concern; their only desire was to be present at the wedding ceremony.
But not everyone rejoiced. Some looked on in disdain, mocking the passion of those preparing for what they called a useless event.
“What’s so special about this?” they sneered. “Why waste your money and time on something that makes no sense?”
Yet the people preparing for the wedding smiled and replied; “This is the main thing. It’s what we’ve been waiting for. To attend this occasion is to belong, to share in the joy and laughter. There will be food, drinks, gifts, and memories that mark us as part of something eternal.”
The mockers scoffed even louder. “You all look foolish!” they shouted, picking up dust and stones to throw at them. But the people of the celebration wiped themselves clean, kept dancing, and continued their journey joyfully.
“Come with us!” one of them urged. “Time is running out! You know how tailors can delay, and there’s a special attire required for entry!”
But the people of hate refused to listen. “We’re not going!” they yelled. “You’ll regret this!”
Then the long-awaited day arrived -the day of celebration. The atmosphere was electric. The bride appeared, radiant and stunning. Her dress sparkled, her jewelry shone, and her entrance commanded attention. Her bridesmaids looked exquisite; everything was perfect.
The crowd erupted with joy. The bride, standing in the center, smiled and spoke:
“Thank you for honoring my invitation. My husband and I are grateful. Because you came, may blessings overflow in your lives. Go home with health, peace, and increase. No more delay, no more lack. You chose well; you ignored the voices of hate and followed the call. Now go, execute your purpose, and live victoriously every day.”
The guests shouted in amazement, danced, ate, and rejoiced.
But the mockers -the people of hate -were left behind. Bound in regret, accused, and tormented, they wished they had followed the people of the celebration. But it was too late.
The Execution of Purpose reminds us that a special day is coming: the great celebration of Heaven. Those who are not ready will miss it. Don’t let that be your story. Be prepared. Come to God now.
God bless you.
